I live in West Seattle and have been coaching, playing and cheering the game of soccer for over 15 years. I’ve had the pleasure of coaching little league teams and players in the sport I love, and acting as a founder member and Team Captain of my Iowa High School women's soccer team. For the past five years, my husband and I have been playing in the Co-Rec Soccer Association on the co-ed team "Field Hazard".

Some of the issues I'm pursuing on the Council this year:

  1. A Strong and Vibrant Council
Establishing a strong foundation now will help prepare for the future growth of the Council. Council members need to make sure we are always finding ways to make ourselves available to hear from the fans. I'd also like to see the Council become a vibrant community of representatives, as diverse as our fan base...which means educating season ticket holders about the Members' Association they are a part of, and about the Council which works for them to improve our club.

  2. Keep the Match Day Experience Positive!
I want to help ensure that Sounders matches remain welcoming, positive, intense and energized behind our team. Thousands of recreational soccer fans and players live in this region...including the couples, kids and families supporting the Sounders. Keeping a good relationship going between fans (who manage themselves), the team and stadium security/staff is important.

  3. Survey the Fans
Sounders Season Ticket Holders should regularly be given opportunities to "grade" their experiences and suggest improvements or preferences. Next, let's expand this to every season ticket holder, not just the account purchaser.
